Taking the exhibition, extra {ordinary} Photographs of Britain by The Caravan Gallery as inspiration, spend a morning writing poems, stories and dramatic monologues inspired by the voices and people inside the photo frames with poet and playwright Rommi Smith.

£10/£8, booking essential.

Poet and Playwright Rommi Smith and poet Zaffar Kunial talk with curator Nigel Walsh (Leeds Art Gallery) about two exciting projects which brought art and poetry together – and put hidden voices back into the frame.

With photographs made over fifteen years, in hundreds of locations in the UK, extra{ordinary} offers an insight into the reality and surreality of everyday life in 21st century Britain, seeking out and celebrating the curious, unusual and absurd.
