Claptrap presents... Folk at Thursday Late

Thursday 20 May 2010 6.00pm to 9.00pm

Impressions Gallery have teamed up with the Bradford zine Claptrap
to host a musical twist at one of our regular Thursday Late events. Come and join us for a loosely folk-based evening full of diverse interesting and great music - for free!

Playing...

The Family Elan
Using all manner of instruments (from bouzouki to kantele to Egyptian tablas), The Family Elan create an atmospheric and beautiful sound that can't fail to suck you in.

"Deliriously entertaining" - Wire

"Rapturous experimental folk, tinged with East European promise." - Uncut****

Garfunkel and Simon
Bradford's answer to Half Man Half Biscuit, Jeff Lewis, Bruce Springsteen and The Minutemen all rolled in to one. Expect short and punchy, yet thoughtful songs.

A Grimshaw Moon
Exciting improvised 2-piece featuring members of 7 hertz. With a 5-string double bass and clarinet.

Enjoy a beer from our licensed bar and take an after hours look around our exhibition Flatland: A Landscape of Punjab by Max Kandhola.

Free event.
Drop in.
