Archive Connections with Red Saunders

Friday 21 October 2011, 3pm to 4pm

Come along and discover connections between Red Saunders' contemporary work and rarely seen original photographs from the National Media Museum's Archive.

Join us at Insight (The National Media Museum Collections & Research Centre) for the special opportunity to view original photographs from the museum’s archive and explore their significance in relation to Red Saunders' work. Saunders will be leading a discussion about the selected photographs and why they are important to him, including Oscar Gustav Rejlander's 'The Two Ways of Life', taken 1857 and rarely seen newspaper images of political leaders.

This event is FREE, but please book in advance as places are limited on 01274 737843 or email enquiries@impressions-gallery.com

For directions to the National Media Museum and a location map please click here, the museum is only a short five minute walk from Impressions Gallery.

After Archive Connections you are also welcome to attend the Artist Talk with Red Saunders at Impressions Gallery at 5.00pm.
