Artist Talk with David Chancellor

Saturday 22 November 2014, 2.00pm to 3.00pm

Hear photographer David Chancellor talk about Hunters and join in the question and answer session afterwards.

Hunters explores the complex relationship between humans and animals, documenting the game hunting industry in Sub-Saharan Africa. Historically a source of revenue for colonial governments, trophy hunting has now become a controversial yet major industry, taking place in 23 African countries, and generating over 200 million dollars a year.

After the Artist Talk join us for an Artist Reception with David Chancellor in the gallery from 3.00pm, with a chance to view the exhibition, meet the artist and buy a copy of the exhibition's accompanying publication.

Free event, donations welcome.
Booking recommended for talk.

As well as offering free tickets, we are now accepting donations for our Artist Talks, all donations are welcome and help fund our education programme. You can donate to the gallery while you reserve your ticket via eventbrite and all donors will be entered into a prize draw to win a copy of Impressions' popular publication Hand to Mouth by Tessa Bunney. Please note a booking fee will be added to your donation by eventbrite, this is beyond our control.
