Exhibition Launch: Rock Against Racism

Thursday 16 June 2016, 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Join us for the official launch of Rock Against Racism by Syd Shelton.

The exhibition will be opened by Tom Robinson, musician, broadcaster and a crucial figure in the Rock Against Racism movement.

Syd Shelton’s images capture a pivotal moment in British politics and culture, fashion and music. Rock Against Racism (1976 to 1981) was a groundbreaking movement formed by musicians and political activists to fight racism through music. At this special launch, you'll have the opportunity to meet Syd, chat with people who were part of Rock Against Racism and buy a signed copy of the accompanying publication.

Live Broadcasting, DJing and music will be provided by BCB 106.6 fm throughout the event, and you can stay with us for the after-party at Bradford Brewery from 8pm 'till late.

Free event, all welcome

Exhibition continues until 3 September 2016

Rock Against Racism is curated by Mark Sealy at Autograph ABP, in collaboration with guest curator Carol Tulloch, Professor of Dress, Diaspora and Transnationalism, University of the Arts London.
