Live from Bradford: Love Music, Hate Racism

Thursday 1 September 2016, 6.00pm to 8.00pm

As we approach the closing weekend of Rock Against Racism, Impressions Gallery and BCB Radio bring together an eclectic and diverse group of musicians and spoken word artists for this relaxed live event in the gallery. All performers are all united in the belief that racism has no place in our society and will use music and poetry to share a powerful message of tolerance and optimism.

Confirmed acts so far:

Imani Hekima is a Bradford pianist who will share his unique instrumental take on music from the Rock Against Racism era.

Mila Lee is a young singer/songwriter from Bradford who wows crowds with her accomplished guitar playing and angelic voice.

Nick Toczek, a writer, performer and poet who produced zines for the Rock Against Racism movement, will perform a spoken word act.

Ben Bluewater is a blues singer renowned for his foot stomping, solo-acoustic slide guitar sound.

Vanessa Maria is a new, young talent who blends acoustic folk, pop and RnB. Just back from Leeds Festival 2016, don't miss the chance to catch her in hometown Bradford.

More performers to be announced soon...

The event is produced in partnership with BCB 106.6fm and will be broadcast live on the night, tune in online at bcbradio.co.uk
