No Man’s Land: New Focus Award Ceremony and Book Launch

Friday 6 October 2017, 5.00pm to 6.00pm

Official launch by Professor Alison Fell, University of Leeds

Please join New Focus for the awards ceremony and book launch of
No Man’s Land: Young People Uncover Women’s Viewpoints on the First World War.

Help us celebrate the culmination of a year-long Heritage Lottery funded project led by New Focus, a diverse group of young people aged 16 to 25 from Bradford, exploring collections at The Peace Museum, University of Leeds, and IWM (Imperial War Museums)

No Man’s Land takes you on a journey through the lives of some amazing female photographers who worked during the First World War. The book is designed by young people for young people. Come and meet New Focus, collect your free book and enjoy drinks and snacks!

Led by New Focus in partnership with Impressions Gallery, with heritage partners The Peace Museum Bradford, University of Leeds, and The First World War Centenary Partnership, led by IWM. Funded by Heritage Lottery Fund: Young Roots.

The event precedes the launch of the major new exhibition No Man’s Land: Women’s Photography and the First World War from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
