Talk and Book Signing - Matthew Finn
1.45pm to 2.30pm

Hear photographer Matthew Finn share his experience of creating his first book, Mother, published by Dewi Lewis. Followed by a book signing.

Over a thirty year period, Matthew Finn collaborated with his mother, Jean, to document her everyday life through a series of portraits taken in her home in Leeds. This is a record of the ordinary, the gradual shift from middle age to old age, and, in Jean's case, to the onset of mixed dementia and a move from the family home into residential care.

Matthew Finn was a Jerwood/Photoworks Award winner in 2015 and his series Mother was part of the national touring exhibition shown at Impressions Gallery in 2016.
