Postponed: In Conversation: Mahtab Hussain and Anne McNeill

Saturday 10 March 2018, 2.00pm to 3.00pm

Hear Mahtab Hussain discuss the photographs in You Get Me? with Anne McNeill, Director of Impressions Gallery, and join in the Q&A session afterwards.

In You Get Me? Mahtab Hussain asks, ‘What does it mean to be a British Muslim male today?’. Made over a nine-year period, Hussain’s portraits of young working-class British Asian men and boys present a collective picture on how these individuals negotiate masculinity, self-esteem, social identity and religion in a multi-cultural society.

Stay with us after the talk for our Artist Reception with Mahtab Hussain, where you can meet the artist, enjoy refreshments and have the chance to buy a signed copy of Mahtab Hussain’s accompanying book published by MACK.

Free event, donations welcome
Booking recommended for talk

UPDATE: Seated tickets for this event are now fully booked, you can still come along to the event, but be aware you may need to stand.

You Get Me? is curated by Dr Mark Sealy MBE at Autograph ABP. Supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
