In Conversation: Jerwood/Photoworks Awardees

Saturday 21 April 2018, 2.00pm to 3.00pm

Hear Jerwood/Photoworks Awardees Alejandra Carles-Tolra, Sam Laughlin and Lua Ribeira in conversation with Shoair Mavlian, Director of Photoworks. The awardees will discuss the development of their work, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

Three of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming photographers exhibit new work developed through the prestigious Jerwood/Photoworks Awards. The exhibition explores diverse topics including Jane Austen devotees, death and mythology, and the fragility of the natural world. This is the first showing of the exhibition after its premiere in London.

After the Artist Talk join us for an Artist Reception with the awardees in the gallery from 3.00pm, with a chance to view the exhibition, meet the artists and buy a copy of the exhibition's accompanying catalogue.

Free event, donations welcome.
Booking recommended via Eventbrite.
