(Time)warped from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, cult films don’t come cultier (or better enjoyed while wearing fishnets) than The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Richard O’Brien’s tale follows all-American couple Janet and Brad, who seek shelter in an Old Dark House after their car breaks down. Little do they know they’re in for a night of frights and frolics at the hands of Tim Curry’s Dr Frank N. Furter and all manner of kinky Transylvanians!

A flop when it was first released in 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show roared to life when a desperate studio marketing executive put on midnight screenings and encouraged the audience to dress up and join in, turning the musical into a counter-cultural phenomenon that endures to this day. “It’s just a step to the left…”
