Take the chance
to improve your skills in digital photography with professional photographer Steve Rayner. This course of workshops will explore different ways of interpreting a different theme each week, including sessions on portraiture, landscapes and cityscapes.

Week One: The basic toolkit
What are the basic controls and ideas that you need to be familiar with? A practical overview of the photographic tools that make the difference between good and great pictures, with plenty of opportunity to try them out on a variety of real-life situations – and get your questions answered.

Week Two: Learning to see
Everyone can do that, can't they? If they could, everyone would be taking great pictures! Learn – and try out – the two best kept secrets in photography, and see how you can start to pick up on  techniques and ideas used by the experts, and make them work for you.

Week Three: Humans in their natural habitat
There are countless ways of photographing people – let an expert take you through the basics, from the basic formal portrait to the excitement of candid photography, what lenses to use, ways of controlling light and more.

Week Four: Where we all live
Call it the environment, landscape or urban photography, the challenge of making images of what surrounds us continues to get photographers clicking. Learn skills and techniques to give your photos the edge!

Suitable for all levels, 16+
