Facing East

Recent landscape photography by 16 artists from Nordic and Baltic States

Facing East encompasses a range of aesthetic strategies and thematic concerns around landscape, identity and environment. Some of the photographers observe tensions between traditional rural scenes, contemporary transport systems and economic scenarios, whilst others take a more abstract approach.

The weather diary is really astonishing.

Really clear, interesting and beautiful pictures that drew me right in and kept me here for ages, despite having a heavy baby to carry and longing to rest my arms and back.
