New Focus launch their new blog

Tue, 24th Sep, 2013

New Focus is a project developed by Impressions Gallery to work with young people in Bradford.

New Focus first met in April 2012 and in the past 1 ½ years the group have created two short films, met with Bradford’s key cultural figures, and developed their own recruitment strategy. They are now working in collaboration with the Consortia of Ethnic Minority Organisation (COMEO) on a major heritage lottery funded exhibition and book Changing Bradford,  launching in October 2013.

New Focus now want to share their experiences and opinions with the wider public. The members have developed a new blog specially created to showcase their projects and experiences of Impressions exhibitions, talks and events.

Jennifer Sobol New Focus Project Manager - I think it is fantastic that New Focus have decided to develop their own blog. The idea was initiated by the members in January 2013 who then developed a recruitment strategy that included job roles such as bloggers. Andy Starkie the New Focus blogger has done a fantastic job of creating a rich and vibrant user friendly blog that shares the ideas of young people and aims to inspire the younger generation in Bradford to get involved in cultural initiatives in the future.

The New Focus Team will be regularly reviewing Impressions exhibitions and events, to keep up to date with their news and views visit the New Focus Blog http://newfocusblog.wordpress.com/ . Click ‘follow’ to subscribe to all our updates.
