With trained advisers in Discover and Bronze levels, our provision is ideal for young people aged 7 to 16 and can support them to achieve many different aspects of their award.

Impressions Gallery offers the following creative workshops especially designed to meet Discover Arts Award and Bronze Arts Award criteria:

Discover Arts Award (KS1 and KS2)

We offer three creative workshops that meet all aspects of Discover Arts Award criteria.

1. Art Detectives
takes your class on an art adventure through Impressions Gallery and City Park to investigate the art forms that can be found all around us.

2. Gallery Explorer
How do artists work? How does their art make us feel? Your pupils find out about artists and their ideas, and then record their own thoughts and feelings in a specially-designed Gallery Trail.

3.  Share Your Discoveries
Help your pupils reflect on their Arts Award experience, appear on camera or write a newspaper article to feature on our blog.

Each Discover Arts Award sessions is £80+VAT for a maximum of 35 students.

We also provide free printed information to take away to help you evidence your visit. A short introduction to the exhibition is free but must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance

2. Look Think Talk and Do - £80+VAT per session for a maximum of 35 students.
These more in-depth sessions facilitated by gallery staff provide students with the opportunity to explore the exhibition and develop their own interpretation of the art work.
