Feed Your Mind: Being Inbetween

Join us at the site of our new outdoor exhibition Being Inbetween by Carolyn Mendelsohn to find out more about Carolyn’s work and the Being Inbetween girls.

These larger than life photographs on the windows of the Grade II* listed former NatWest building present a series of powerful portraits and bring photography to the streets of Bradford for everyone to enjoy.

Being Inbetween is a series of powerful portraits of girls aged between ten and twelve. The photographs explore the transition between childhood and young adulthood. The eight girls featured are Heavens, Amaira, Alice, Gowri, Alice, Sadie, Kiara and Mabel who all live in the Bradford district. These ‘inbetween girls’ are amazing, fearless, fearful, brave, funny, and smart individuals, getting ready to take on the world.

Meet at the corner of Hustlergate and Bank Street, opposite Waterstones at 1pm for an introduction to the artwork, with an opportunity to ask your questions.
