Join New Focus, our award-winning young people’s collective — Impressions Gallery

Are you aged 16 to 25? Do you live work or study in Bradford? Be part of something bigger – join our award-winning young people’s collective New Focus.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain real life experience developing creative projects. You will have the chance to work directly with Impressions’ team and other likeminded young people to develop inspiring projects that engage people from across Bradford and beyond.

This summer New Focus are embarking on an exciting new project and we need new members to help us make this happen. You will be part of a team that works directly with Impressions Gallery staff to support the development We Make Culture! This is a series of creative consultation events to connect with communities in Bradford, and find out what culture means to them. The project was awarded to New Focus by THE LEAP, which is a Creative People and Places project that supports community-led culture in Bradford and Keighley.

Be part of the story, help us run fun food sharing events with Bradford communities, and get hands on with a camera by running pop up photo booths. Develop new skills in film making and social media and get creative by making short films sharing what culture means to the people of Bradford! As part of this project we will pay all your travel expenses to events and New Focus meetings.

As well as being part of We Make Culture! there will also be the opportunity to meet exciting and successful artists, support exhibition installations, and help us run events at the gallery.
