Tim Smith's photographs of the oldest, longest, and most famous highway in southern Asia - are gathered together in a new book from Dewi Lewis Publishing The Grand Trunk Road: From Delhi to the Khyber Pass.
Tim will talk about the work and show pictures of his journeys through India and Pakistan, exploring the history of the "GT Road" and its crucial role in the process of migration to Britain. A selection of photographs from the book can be seen from 5.30pm in the Pop Up art space (below Impressions Gallery in Centenary Square).
