Join us for an afternoon of exhibition openings on Saturday 11 June, all welcome.
In Impressions Gallery, The Prospect of Immortality by Murray Ballard offers an unprecedented insight into cryonics: the process of freezing a person after death in the hope that scientific advances may one day bring them back to life. Premiering at Impressions Gallery, this is Ballard’s first major solo show.
Magnum photographer Mark Power will open this exhibition at 2.00pm.
Opening in the Studio, Gentlemen of Bradford is an Impressions Gallery education project and part of Art in Yorkshire - supported by Tate. Six young men worked with award-winning photographer Paul Floyd Blake to create a series of portraits exploring male fashion, identity and style.
Saleem Kader, Managing Director of Bombay Stores will open this exhibition at 2.30pm.
Also opening in Bradford 1 Gallery is a solo show of film and video work by Torsten Lauschmann.
