Thursday 3 May 2012, 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Join us to celebrate the relaunch of our gallery shop and be the first to pick up a copy of award winning photographer Paul Floyd Blake’s first publication Personal Best.
Published by Dewi Lewis Publishing in association with Impressions Gallery, this new full colour hardback publication follows the stories of sixteen young athletes over five years in the build up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As well as Paul Floyd Blake’s portraits, Personal Best features excerpts from the athletes’ own writings offering insights into their personal hopes and fears, and specially commissioned essays by curator Pippa Oldfield, Impressions Gallery, and Professor Jonathan Long, Leeds Metropolitan University.
Join us at 6.45pm to hear Paul Floyd Blake in conversation with Head of Programme Pippa Oldfield followed by a book signing.
