Impressions Gallery are seeking a new Chair to lead our Board of Trustees, who can help guide our vision and development, build on our international reputation both within and outside the cultural sector, and be an proactive advocate for the gallery and the work we do.

We are passionate about photography, a medium which has never been more influential on contemporary culture. The Chair will share our passion and will bring experience to support Impressions’ mission and vision.

The new Chair will be joining the charity at a very exciting time. We have ambitious plans for our long-term future and are currently re-imagining what a photography gallery could be as we work towards our relocation in 2026. It is expected that the Chair will play a pivotal role in helping shape our thinking, and act as a key driver in the realisation of a new chapter for Impressions.

In addition, Bradford is UK City of Culture 2025. This is a game-changer, putting both Bradford and Impressions Gallery firmly on the national and international stage.
