Call out for young people in Bradford for portrait project — Impressions Gallery

Impressions Gallery has commissioned Roz Doherty, a Bradford-born and based photographer to produce a set of photographic portraits on what it means to be a young person in Bradford today.

Bradford is one of the youngest cities in Europe with 29% of the population under the age of 25. Roz wants to celebrate the youth and diversity of Bradford by making this the focus of her commission. A selection of her portraits will be included in a major national touring group exhibition that will explore issues of identity, race, gender and politics.

The group exhibition will open at Impressions Gallery in January 2025 and then travel throughout the UK to Streetlevel Gallery, Glasgow, Belfast Exposed, and Ffotogallery, Cardiff.

Would you like to be part of this project and have your photograph taken? Roz is inviting young people to make portraits in both a photographic studio and also on location. If you are interested please get in touch with us at Impressions Gallery on 01274 737843 or hello@impressions-gallery.com by 25 August and we’ll pass your details on to Roz.

Alternatively, you can contact Roz directly via Instagram @rozdoherty for a general chat and more information.
