The first edition of Creative Earth Eco Fest is taking place in the beautiful grounds of Cliffe Castle, Keighley, on Saturday 3 August from 12pm to 7pm.

Come along to discover creative solutions to helping the environment, while having a whole lot of fun.

Admission is free.

Where: Cliffe Castle, Spring Gardens Lane, Keighley West Yorkshire, BD20 6LH.

By public transport: Approximately 12-25 minutes walk from the railway station, 6-15 minutes walk from the bus station. Buses (for example Bradford to Skipton) pass the lower main gates. The 903 bus service operates from Keighley Bus Station and serves Cliffe Castle on a limited basis.

Artist Jean McEwan will help you see your old photos afresh, and create a zine to be proud of. Free, drop in.

Wellbeing zone: Relax in nature

Relax in a 20 minute Tai Chi session for all abilities. Free, drop in sessions.
1.00pm to 1.45pm: Forest bathing (adults), book on the day.

1.00pm to 3.00pm: Family outdoor play with Sam and Hazel at Get Out More

Drop in for an abundance of challenging and stimulating activities for the family to enjoy, free.

12.00pm to 3.00pm: Millside Centre's Welcome Café

Delicious and healthy ‘zero’ waste vegan food available to buy. This project supports local asylum seekers, refugees, students & volunteers.
Caterpillar Catering

Using high quality, locally sourced ingredients, supporting independent suppliers where possible, to create delectable delights.
Chai & Chats stall

Touring throughout the grounds, inviting festival goers to share their ideas and eco-friendly hacks over a cuppa chai.
Coffee Bean Machine

Refreshments can be bought from the Coffee Bean Machine throughout the day. Maybe bring your own re-usable cup!

Music and entertainment

12.00pm to 3.00pm: Henna hand art

Have your hands beautifully decorated by Aisha with henna made from natural ingredients.
12.45pm to 1.30pm: Punjabi Roots dhol drumming

Dance-along to the beats of dhol drumming with the hugely entertaining Punjabi Roots.
1.00pm to 3.00pm: Face painting

Have your face painted by Zara using eco-friendly paints.
2.00pm to 3.00pm: Keighley Rock Choir

Be entertained with music with Keighley Rock Choir with some classic songs.
2.00pm to 5.15pm: Face painting

Have your face painted by Fazia Kausar using eco-friendly paints.
3.00pm to 5.00pm: No Hands DJ's

Multi-cultural DJ sets by the legendary No Hands will set a groovy festival vibe.
5.30pm to 6.00pm: Festival parade

Festival Parade led by Punjabi Roots with scarf flag procession.

12.30pm to 1.30pm: KT Shepherd: Moving through climate grief to climate action

Creating personalised plans of climate actions as a way of dealing with climate grief and anxiety. Free, book on the day.
2.30pm to 3.15pm: Jacqueline Ennis-Cole: Crude Extracts

A talk with artist Jacqueline Ennis-Cole exploring her response to Sherwood Forest as an ancient forest and living archive.
3.00pm to 4.00pm: How to create a photo garden

A walk and talk with Photo Hub North with information about creating your own photo garden. Free, drop in. Meet in the Photo Zone.

Everything in the forest is the forest

A short video narrated by artist Clare Hewitt introducing her groundbreaking project 'Everything in the Forest is the Forest', which will be exhibited at Impressions Gallery in May 2025.
