Call out for memories: Bringing the Beat Back to Bradford — Impressions Gallery

Do you remember dancing at The New Victoria, seeing an iconic band at the Gaumont, or watching a classic film at the Odeon?

Impressions Gallery is calling out for photographs, memorabilia, ephemera and stories from the historic building, formerly known as the Bradford Odeon, to feature as part of a brand new, unique, crowd-sourced exhibition.

The exhibition will shine a light on the vibrant history of this much loved building and the many people who have used it. To do this we need the help of local people to submit their own photographs and memorabilia, filling the walls of the gallery with memories.

We are inviting you to share with us your photographs, concert tickets, cinema stubs or posters – anything that is a memento of the building’s past. At this stage please just send us images of your items which will be collated into a community archive. We may get in touch with you to invite you to loan the original item for inclusion in the exhibition later in 2022.

How to submit your memories

You can submit your memories/memorabilia in 2 different ways:

Our Submissions Guidelines will give you some helpful tips and advice on how to take the best photographs of your item.

Deadline for submissions

We will accept digital submissions until Saturday 30 April 2022.
