Through Our Lens: Growing up with Covid-19 features photographs made by a spectrum of young people from Bradford during the first national lockdown, in 2020. Working with artist Carolyn Mendelsohn, it tells their personal stories through photography and offers a window into how young people adapted to an incredibly challenging time. Curated in collaboration with the teenagers who made the work, the exhibition is a reflection on a period of adversity as well as a celebration of the resilience, dedication, and spirit of a diverse group of young people.
Our World features photographs showing the world through the eyes of six to eleven year olds, during the third national Covid lockdown, in 2021. Working with artist Carolyn Mendelsohn, and young artists from the Through Our Lens project, this group of children from across the Bradford district were able to tell us their own unique stories through photography.
Free event, all welcome
Some of the young people from Through Our Lens will also be talking about their experience of the project at our In Conversation event on Saturday 5 March 2022, from 2pm to 3pm.
