Performing Histories / Histories Re-Imagined offers an insight into photographic approaches that critically engage with ‘the archive’ to re-address the past and bring to the fore histories that have been overlooked. It presents the work of Alba Zari, Amin Yousefi, Eleonora Agostini, Emi O’Connell, Jermaine Francis, Laura Chen, Odette England, and Tarrah Krajnak. Click here to read more about the exhibition.

A Bigger Book Fair is Peckham 24’s commitment to artists working with photography in print. It will welcome more than 70 independent photo book and zine publishers.
Impressions Gallery will be offering a large variety of photobooks published by the gallery. This includes signed copies of Trish Morrissey’s seminal projects Seven Years and Front; Translating Place by Joy Gregory, and Anna Fox: Photographs 1983-2007. There will also be a selection of self-published photobooks by artists.
In-conversation – (Re)Presenting the Female Body: Art Historical & Colonial Narratives Reframed

Artists Mia Weiner and Salma Ahmad Caller are concerned with shifting the narrative regarding representation of the female body in art and colonial history. Mobilising uniquely different visual languages, the aim of their work is transformative: to activate and liberate the female body from its historic role as passive object of the male gaze. The artists will be in conversation with Raquel Villar-Pérez, Curator at Impressions Gallery.

Anne McNeill, Director of Impressions Gallery, will facilitate an open, relaxed and informal roundtable chat on how galleries and artists can rethink sustainable exhibition production, and how photographers and artists can work in more eco-friendly and sustainable ways. This event is for everyone who shares an interest in photography, art, eco issues, sustainability and helping the environment.
