Shona Grant
I grew up on the island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides and now live in rural Aberdeenshire. I worked as a freelance book illustrator for 20 years until I returned to photography as my main art practice in 2014 having studied it as part of a college course in Edinburgh when I left school. I’ve always liked the book form as a way of displaying images, and so over the 6 years since 2014 I have developed and perfected my bookmaking techniques often experimenting with book structures to compliment the interior photographic content.
