Impressions are delighted to be partnering again with Peckham 24, presenting a selection of work by artist Clare Hewitt at Copeland Gallery in Peckham from Friday 16 May to Sunday 25 May 2025.
On view at Peckham24 is a selection of 160 oak leaf lumen prints created by Hewitt on the forest floor, as well as a six-month long-exposure of the oak trees and a handmade pinhole camera. Also on show are panoramic images of the forest’s underground environment, in frames made from reclaimed scaffolding boards produced in collaboration with staff and apprentices at The Wood Shack, a Birmingham-based social enterprise.
On Sunday 18 May, 1-2pm, Clare Hewitt will talk at Phyto Photographie: Illuminating Natural Eco-Systems, alongside artist Olga Grotova and writer Melissa McCarthy, together exploring the binding force of nature in connecting both human and non-human communities.
Clare Hewitt’s Everything in the forest is the forest will be on view in Room 5 of Copeland Gallery from 16-25 May, as part of Peckham 24.
Her complete exhibition Everything in the forest is the forest is on show at Impressions Gallery from 10 May to 23 August 2025.
Peckham 24 is an annual festival of contemporary photography that brings together cross-disciplinary artists and photographers, displaying work in Copeland Park and participating venues in the Peckham area.
