Do you want to contribute to Bradford’s biggest Family Album and share stories of the past for future generations?
New Focus, Impressions Gallery’s young people’s collective, are reaching out to people in different local communities to gather family photographs that offer personal insights into Bradford’s history. The photographs will form Bradford Family Album, a new online archive celebrating the people who have called the city their home.
With permission, photographs are being digitally scanned for the online archive, and some of these images will also be shown in an exhibition at Impressions Gallery from September to December 2025.
Bradford Family Album is part of Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, and seeks to highlight the stories of home, belonging, and migration that have helped shape Bradford’s identity.
Impressions Gallery and New Focus are very grateful to everyone who shares their photographs and stories. If you’d like to find out more, or contribute to the archive, get in touch via newfocus@impressions-gallery.com
