Hidden Schools Tour
A groundbreaking project taking high quality art to children in schools throughout Bradford, funded by Arts Council England through the National Lottery.
From September 2013 Impressions will tour the exhibition Hidden by Red Saunders to 12 schools across the district, as part of Arts Council England’s Strategic touring programme. Hidden features large-scale photographs of momentous, yet often overlooked, events in British history, which are full of rich detail to spark the imagination of children and young people.
Hidden has strong links to national curriculum subjects including History, English and Art, and an extensive education programme will accompany the tour. This will include a creative project bringing together children, their families to create artwork about local ‘hidden histories’.
